A New Year of Opportunity

Welcome to the new year, 2011. It is just another day but it is a symbol for change and moving on from the year we leave behind. Life continues to change quickly for all of us. With a long weekend holiday we have a chance to reflect on the past year and think about how we can make this new year different. 2010 was a very difficult year for everybody, but especially for those who live in Haiti which was devastated by an earthquake. How lucky we are to be alive and to have the opportunity to make decisions and change our priorities and plan for the future. Let us work to make the world a better place. Let us remember the BP oil spill from 2010 and the lessons we need to learn from that man made disaster. 2011 begins with general optimism that tough times will not last forever. Except for the many unemployed people things are getting better. I wish you, your friends and family the best for 2011.
